John R. Horsley, PT
Owner and President
Physical Therapist
Graduated with a BS in Physical Therapy, from California State University, Long Beach in 1989, Horsley established RESTOR in 1990 with hopes of providing better care for patients requiring therapy assistance. His extensive athletic background and competitive nature contributes to his philosophy of rehabilitating individuals to their maximum potential. Horsley spends a great amount of time researching solutions to problems that have been resistant to other interventions. His proactive stance to physical therapy is a result of his problem solving approach to treating a cause rather than an effect.
As an adjunct professor for the department of physical therapy at Cal State Long Beach (1992 – 1996), he was involved in several speaking engagements at various colleges within and outside California. Horsley attends a gamut of academic courses to improve his knowledge and ability as a physical therapist. He serves as a therapist and consultant for several of the patients, actively reviewing cases on a weekly basis.
Horsley’s diverse background and achievements include being a staff physical therapist for the 2002 USA Track and Field Championships, USA Diving Medical Team, USA Water Polo Medical Team, AVP Pro Beach Volleyball Tour, and Newhope Gymnastics Academy. In 1997, he was the pole vault coach for Edison High School Track and Field, and strength and conditioning programmer for Hartnell Junior College Baseball. He has also co-hosted the KUCI 88.9 FM Body Talk Radio show and is currently consulting with the track and field athletes from the University of California, Irvine. His impressive client list reflects Horsley’s perseverance as a therapist, manager and athlete.
